At Carpet Recycling UK, we continually strive to identify new, viable methods of diverting carpet and textile flooring waste from landfills while promoting recycling, sustainability and circularity across the sector.
Membership of the CRUK is an effective way of signifying your commitment to sustainability. Becoming a member makes it apparent to both your customer base and your peers in the industry that you are committed to handling your waste responsibly.
With an expanding calendar of events and conferences, our members also enjoy valuable networking opportunities and exposure to the latest industry news and technological developments.
CRUK also continues to lobby Government on behalf of the industry to ensure legislation is fair and fit for purpose and not unduly restrictive or prohibitive.
As a result, we are attracting new members to the network who share in our aims and values.
This month we would like to welcome Emmaus Suffolk and Footfall to the CRUK network.

Emmaus Suffolk
Emmaus Suffolk is a charity working with vulnerable, socially isolated or long-term unemployed people and those at risk of homelessness. They are part of a global movement and currently operate 29 outlets in the UK.
At Emmaus Suffolk they intend to source carpet and carpet tiles that can be stocked in their shop at affordable prices to help people in the area struggling to obtain quality flooring.

Footfall
Footfall is one of the UK’s leading sustainable underlay manufacturers. Their underlay makes flooring quieter underfoot, insulating and causing noise reduction using fibres from old carpets, rubber crumb derived from recycled tyres, coffee sacks, coke bottles, woolly jumpers and even cork from old wine stoppers.
Their commitment to using waste destined for landfill or incineration rather than from new raw resources saves hundreds of tonnes per annum of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. This is a principle they’ve adhered to since launch making them a great addition to the CRUK network.
