Welcome to The Single Ply Roofing Association
SPRA is the voice of the single ply roofing industry. This trade association was established in 1992 and our mission is to achieve growth and sustainability in all sectors of the single ply roofing industry by raising the awareness of single ply technology, its value and ensuring manufacturing and installation standards remain high. SPRA is an increasingly influential voice in the roofing sector and is working in close co-operation with our sister trade associations to raise the overall profile of the UK roofing industry.
Why become a SPRA member?
Joining SPRA confirms your organisation’s wish to achieve the highest standards in single ply roofing here in the UK. Any organisation involved in single ply roofing has potential access to membership provided they can meet and maintain the standards set by the association. You will have the opportunity to promote your organisation as part of SPRA with a dedicated page for all members on this website. There are significant other benefits including access to membership of the Construction Products Association and Build UK through SPRA therefore receiving the latest updates and information throughout the construction sector from the dedicated members section of our SPRA News Update on this website.
Accredited courses and bespoke training
SPRA has a focus to assist our members with competency development of their workforce in single ply roofing. This entails providing opportunities for training through specific courses and sessions that fills gaps in their knowledge of single ply roofing and allows progression and development to gain greater levels of competency over time.
As well as the current courses on offer SPRA will continue to evolve in this area with continual addition to the range of training and guidance available and make use of digital platforms for delivery as well as more established methods.
Technical guidance and support
The SPRA Technical Committee has authored a library of technical guidance documents and component quality standards, which are the current view of best practice in the design, specification, installation and maintenance of single ply roofing systems in the United Kingdom.
